Information on College Scholarship
Public Safety Recruitment and Retention Act Scholarship
The Public Safety Recruitment and Retention Act is a Scholarship, not a tuition reimbursement program. The Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development (MDHEWD) works directly with the institutions on payment once students have had their initial eligibility determined by MDHEWD and the institutions confirm that the student is enrolled in an eligible program of study before payment is distributed. Although SLPOA played a role in getting this legislation passed, we have no direct involvement in this program or the disbursement of the funds.
