Please see the attached joint release with the Missouri FOP that went out to the St. Louis media condemning Chief Dotson's statements in the Post Dispatch and condemning Alderman Terry Kennedy for releasing additional statements.
Our business manager has already conveyed our anger over the statements to the Post Dispatch and is contacting other media outlets to get our side of the story out there. We have personally apologized on behalf of the Department to FOP Lodge 15 which covers Ferguson Officers and County Police. We've offered the same apology to the St. Louis County Police Officers Association. We have also demanded a meeting with the Chief of Police and the Mayor's Office and they have agreed to meet with us on Monday.
