SLPOA - Day on the Hill - Tuesday February 23, 2010
Our State Lobbyist, Flotron McIntosh, has secured a day on Capitol Hill for the SLPOA members. The date is scheduled for Tuesday, February 23rd. We will meet at the SLPOA Hall in the morning and will leave from there by van. Arrangements have been made to provide transportation to and from Jefferson City for all interested parties. We will also make arrangements to have people back in St. Louis before the second shift to accommodate afternoon watch officers who are interested in attending but not able to take time off. The remainder of the membership will return around 5 or 6pm depending on traffic. Lunch will be provided for anyone in attendance and the SLPOA hall will be open upon our arrival back in St. Louis.
This is an important year for our organization legislatively and it is imperative that we get as many people to the Capital as possible. We encourage retirees and civilians to join us but we really need a great showing from our ACTIVE members. Now is the time to get involved. Your future is at stake. Your district and division representatives will have more details as the date nears, but please mark the day in your calendars.
