Ladies and Gentlemen:

After tabulation of the Retiree Trustee ballots returned by 4 p.m. on September 12, 2025, the System’s auditor, Sikich LLP, reported that the returns are as follows:

Active Trustee

There was no contested election for Active Trustee, as Det. Daniel Sweeney was the only candidate to file for the office.

Retiree Trustee:

Congratulations to Retired Lt. Col. Jerry Leyshock who was elected to serve as a Retiree Trustee on the Pension Board.  Congratulations also to Det. Daniel Sweeney, who ran unopposed for the Active Trustee on the Pension Board.

Both Det. Sweeney and Retired Lt. Col. Leyshock will begin their three-year terms on October 1, 2025 following presentation of credentials to the Board of Trustees.
