Colonial Life Voluntary Insurance Plan
Posted On: Mar 63, 2016

The Association has partnered up with Colonial Life to offer our members group voluntary insurance benefits.   During open enrollment, February 17th – March 5th, 2016, you have the opportunity to review and apply for voluntary benefits from Colonial Life.  There will be Colonial representatives at South Patrol on Wednesday February 17th; Central Patrol on Thursday February 18th; and, North Patrol on Friday, February 19th.  Representatives will also be available at Headquarters, and other work stations the following week.  And, there will be Colonial reps at the Association Hall during the next Membership Meeting on Wednesday February 24th at 7 pm.

The benefits being offered are policies you buy for added financial protection for you and your family.  During Roll Call, your benefits counselor will answer any questions you may have and offer you simple, straightforward advice as you sort through your choices.

The following voluntary benefits from Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Company will be offered during the enrollment:

* Group accident insurance which helps offset the unexpected medical expenses, such as emergency room fees, deductibles and co-payments that can result from a covered accident.

* Group specified disease insurance which helps pay for non-medical and out-of-pocket medical expenses upon diagnosis of a specified critical illness.  This plan may also include a benefit for the treatment of cancer.

* Group disability insurance replaces a portion of your income to help make ends meet if you become disabled from a covered accident or covered sickness.

* Gunshot Wound insurance helps to provide valuable financial protection in your time of need.  This plan provides benefits for a non-fatal covered gunshot wound.

* Complimentary $5,000 AD&D.  You are eligible for complimentary $5,000 in Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance with no purchase necessary.

Be sure to meet or speak with a benefits counselor during the enrollment!  This is your chance to learn more and make your benefits program work for you!
