Cindy Ballman, widow of Kirkwood Police Officer Tom Ballman, EOW 02-07-2008, in honor of his memory, started The Fritz Foundation, which continues his legacy of service to the community by raising funds to donate to first responders injured in the line of duty that are not able to return to work, to Backstoppers Inc. so they may continue to provide for the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as providing scholarships for Lindbergh High School Students, his alma mater, as well as Kirkwood High School.

The Fritz Foundation will be hosting the 2nd Annual 282 Memorial Golf Tournament on Friday October 15, 2010, at Quail Creek Golf Club. The tournament has a reduced green’s fee for first responders.
